People Will Pray

Elastica Dub

Gabriel Blue

People Will Pray is the brand-new release from Elastica Dub, featuring the powerful and charismatic voice of Gabriel Blue. A deep journey through dub and reggae, where heavy basslines and hypnotic atmospheres intertwine with evocative lyrics about climate change and collective awareness: “Nature cries, heat is running fast… Ocean waves are shouting for a change…”

The release also includes a special stepper dub version, designed to ignite the dancefloor and shake the sound system with full bass power.

This collaboration enriches the path of Elastica Dub, already marked by works with Zion Train, Horace Andy, and Dub FX, and by unique performances – from the medieval caves of the Chianti hills to the Rajasthan desert in India, and across international festivals. People Will Pray stands as a spiritual and militant anthem: a call for awareness in the face of a world on fire, and an invocation for unity and change. The song reflects on the urgency of environmental issues and on the shared responsibility of humanity, turning music into both a prayer and a protest. It is a track meant to inspire reflection while keeping the energy high, bridging consciousness and celebration.

Dubussy - Horns N Tentacles

Dubussy is a musician and producer from Florence, Italy. His musical journey begins at an early age with the piano and a classical approach, leading him to the Florence Conservatory.

His personal epiphany for music happens when he witnesses the sound of a dub Sound System and feels the bass ‘roar’ for the first time. That’s when he starts crafting his own tunes and experimenting with dub, trying to recreate that powerful feeling that changed his life. Over time, he teaches himself to play new instruments, such as Trumpet, Melodica and Handpan.

Travel is a big part of his creative process, as he constantly draws inspiration from the places he visits and the people he meets. Though based in Florence, his nomadic lifestyle fuels his creativity, shaping a sound that is as fluid and evolving as the journey itself. His sound is strictly antifascist, antiracist and driven by a spirit of resistance and unity.

His debut EP, Horns n Tentacles, is entirely self-produced and mixed in his small home studio in Florence and mastered by Dubmatix.

Madi Simmons

Multi instrumentalist and producer Sax N Dub from Montevideo Uruguay has been playing on the sound system scene with his own productions and international collaborations since 2014, with participations in may international festivals. With more than 20 publications on cd, digital and vinyl and numerous collaborations on diverse labels, he returns with his new single Working For A Brighter Day, teaming up this time with long time family artist Madi Simmons on the vocals.

Hailing from USA, Madi Simmons is no stranger on our label. He appeared on many releases on our label, collaborating with Culture Horn, Dubsynaticx and Red Star Martyrs and has been awarded in 2018 Best Male Independent Reggae Recording Artist and Best Album Of The Year (for I Am A Rootsman)

Focusing now on the new single, Working for A Brighter Day is presented in two versions: the vocal track with Madi demonstrating his ability to feel comfortable to perform on any riddim and enjoying not following the rules of reggae music (whatever they are) and the instrumental version, with the sax talking over the mix, a trademark of Sax N Dub!
