Next World

"Next World" by Exotitronic Collective is a vibrant, globe-spanning album that feels like tuning into a dream broadcast from an alternate reality. Across its ten tracks, the group weaves together an eclectic mix of lounge, jazz, Latin, dream pop, mambo and electronica, creating a sound that is both retro-inspired and futuristically surreal.

Each song carries its own cultural and emotional palette, sung in a diverse array of languages including English, French, Bisaya, Hausa, Spanish, Hawaiian, and even Esperanto. Rather than feeling fragmented, this linguistic variety deepens the album’s sense of unity—like different portals into the same shimmering “next world.”

Tropical rhythms pulse at the heart of the record, blending warm percussion, swaying grooves, and airy synth textures. Over these lush soundscapes, mystical lyrics drift between fantasy and introspection, hinting at hidden dimensions, spiritual crossings, and imagined paradises.

The result is an immersive listening experience: part beachside daydream, part cosmic voyage. "Next World" invites listeners to step outside the familiar and wander through a musical landscape where cultures, languages, and eras dissolve into something entirely new.

French Flair

Francois Dion

This is the first single / track of the upcoming album "Candy Store". It is called "French Flair", in reference to the French electronic music I listened to growing up (Jean Michel Jarre, Heldon, Space Art, Didier Marouani & Space, etc). It is also a reference to "modern" day French groups like Air or Daft Punk.

The thing connecting them all: cool sounds from cool synths.

The upcoming album is called "Candy Store", as it really digs far and wide in the palette of synthesizers and other sound generating instruments. Each track combines a more "traditional" instrument, with many synthesizers.

Retrospective 08-23

Mr Peel

Retrospective 08-23 is a compilation of the best tracks from the French project Mr Peel, covering the entire period of creativity: from 2008 to 2023.

Created by Fabien Chiloup, Mr Peel's project is a studio project. He is a multi-instrumentalist, but constantly works with session musicians from everywhere, so each album involves 10 or more people. The guest musicians perform on a variety of instruments: double bass, harmonica, Fender Rhodes, Indian flute, trumpet, Hammond organ, synthesizers and various percussion. The songs feature mostly female vocals in English, but there are also instrumental tracks and songs with male vocals.

In general, Mr Peel's music can be described as trip-hop with jazz melodies and psychedelic or noir atmosphere. The project is named after the heroine of the English retro series The Avengers, Emma Peel.
