BEHEMOTH

Lyrics:

Verse 1:

Somethin' lurkin' in the deep,
cold black like ends,
North Sea pressure got me
feelin’ mad tense,
Ping on the radar,
nah this ain’t pretend,
Big man shadow movin’
slow round the bends,
Steel hull creakin’,
man’s breathin’ shallow,
Hear a screech in the dark,
make a sailor go pale though,
Depth gauge dippin’,
lights start to flicker,
Tell the cap’n “allow it”,
but the signal’s gettin’ thicker.

Verse 2:

They call it Behemoth,
say its size ain’t fair,
Old salts chat myths
but it’s right over there,
Teeth like towers,
eyes glow green,
Whole ocean hush
when it swims on the scene,
Sub runnin’ silent,
bare man prayin’,
Sweat on the brow
but the sonar’s stayin’,
Hear a screech
echo through the brine,
Like the sea itself sayin’
“this is mine.”

Verse 3:

Behemoth circle us,
movin’ mad sly,
Tail whip current
like a storm passin’ by,
Captain shout orders,
voices go hoarse,
Man grip the rails,
feel the fear in force,
We fire a torp,
see the water ignite,
But the beast just roars,
starts the real fight,
Somethin' lurkin' in the deep,
still unfazed,
Big fish energy,
ancient and crazed.

Verse 4:

Final clash in the trench,
no sun, no sky,
Just a sub and a monster,
one’s bound to die,
Hear a screech one last time,
bass in my chest,
Whole crew shook
but we’re givin’ our best,
Behemoth thrash
then it fades to the black,
Sea goes calm,
but the scars still crack,
We surface slow
with a tale to keep,
‘Bout the king of the ocean
— don’t sleep on the deep.
