Before I Hold You

E-Lye Creed

“Before I Hold You” is a contemplative song about emotional readiness—capturing a father’s quiet mental and spiritual preparation for an unborn child. It reflects the pause before first touch, where responsibility, love, fear, and intention converge. The song honors the unseen work of becoming a parent: learning patience, releasing selfish instincts, and choosing presence before arrival. It’s about the bond that forms before birth—where love is decided long before it’s held.
