Quetzal-Serpent and the Smoking Mirror Soundtrack

Exotitronic Collective Allstars

The soundtrack to Quetzal-Serpent and the Smoking Mirror brings to life the lyrical world of author Napoleon Cordy through a rich, genre-blending musical experience. Drawn directly from the novel’s text, the songs follow the journey of young poet Ragnar Roriksson, who is captured by rival Norse seafarers and carried across the ocean into the unknown.

After a devastating storm, Ragnar is cast ashore in a mysterious land—ancient Mesoamerica—where he is mistaken for a god. As he navigates unfamiliar customs, languages, and mythologies, Ragnar is forced to confront questions of identity, belonging, and human connection in a world both wondrous and disorienting.

Working in collaboration with Cordy’s estate, Exotitronic Collective transforms the author’s original lyrics into an evocative soundtrack that bridges cultures and eras. The result is a deeply immersive musical companion that mirrors Ragnar’s journey—at once epic, introspective and transcendent.
