about
To Be Frank, the EP by The Band Famous is a 5th dimensional journey! Venture into outer space with the far out vibes of “Space Jam”, then travel back in time to the lost city of Atlantis, back at the beginning, with “Mermaid Energy”. Rediscover the meaning of universal laws with “Golden Rule”, then you can be “On Top”.

Sounds like indie rock meets alternative, pop metal and industrial.

Once upon a time in the heart of a bustling city, there was a small recording studio tucked away on the top floor of an old building. The studio belonged to a passionate and somewhat eccentric music producer named Alex. Alex had a reputation for pushing the boundaries of music, experimenting with unique sounds and rhythms.

One sunny afternoon, as the city buzzed with life below, Alex found inspiration striking like lightning. The melody in their mind was vivid and electrifying, begging to be brought to life. Without hesitation, Alex rushed to the studio, fired up the equipment, and began crafting what would become the most captivating 8-bar loop they had ever conceived.

The loop was filled with layers of intricate beats, pulsating bass, and ethereal synth melodies that danced in perfect harmony. Hours turned into days as Alex immersed themselves in the creative process, sculpting the perfect sonic landscape. But as they listened back to the loop on repeat, they realized something unexpected had joined the composition—a wasp.

Is There Any Body Out There

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where stars painted the canvas of the universe, there existed a lonely planet named Seraphina. On this distant orb, a young girl named Lila found herself stranded, her spacecraft damaged beyond repair.

Lila, with her auburn hair and curious green eyes, surveyed the desolate landscape. The air was thin, and the silence was deafening. She was alone, surrounded by the alien beauty of an unknown world.

With limited supplies salvaged from her ship, Lila began her quest for survival. Days turned into weeks as she wandered through alien landscapes, discovering bizarre flora and peculiar rock formations. She marveled at the unfamiliar constellations that lit up the night sky, a stark contrast to the familiar stars she had known on Earth.

Loneliness crept in, and Lila would often gaze into the cosmic abyss above, wondering if anyone else was out there. Her only companions were the echoes of her own footsteps and the soft hum of the alien winds.

One day, as Lila explored a canyon of crystalline structures, she stumbled upon an ancient artifact, a communication device left by a long-gone civilization. With a spark of hope, she activated it, sending out a signal into the cosmic void.

Days turned into months, and just when Lila began to lose faith, a faint response crackled through the device. It was a garbled transmission, but it carried the unmistakable cadence of intelligent communication. Excitement surged through Lila as she worked tirelessly to enhance the signal.

The voice on the other end belonged to Zara, a fellow traveler who had once faced a similar fate. Zara guided Lila through the intricacies of Seraphina's landscape and shared stories of the cosmos. Their daily conversations became a lifeline, transcending the vastness that separated them.

lyrics

It's time to show up
It's time to glow up
Let's turn the sound up
And get it on tonight

I feel your rocket ship
We're gonna take a trip
Into the night sky
Where the stars so high
We're gonna take a trip

Let's go,
Let's go,
Let's go
There's a place I know
Let's go

I feel your rocket ship
Gonna take a trip tonight
You feel your rocket ship
Gonna take a trip tonight

It's time to glow up
It's time to show up
Let's turn the sound up
And get it on tonight
Take flight

(Ooooo
Ooooo
Ooooo)

Let's take a trip
On your rocket ship
Let's take a trip
On your rocket ship

There's a place I know
We gotta take it slow
Do you rocket ship take a trip?
There's a place I know
I'm gonna take it slow
And if we leave at the right time
We'll get to moonshine
We'll watch as the sunrise
Believe in the starlight

There's a place
So faraway
I wanna go
And see a show
Don't you, don't you wanna go?
Don't you wanna go?
Don't you wanna go?

And get it on tonight, tonight.

It's time to glow up
It's time to show up
Let's turn the sound up
And get it on tonight.

Little Trip

Sample Simon

I described this as a paint by numbers Tech House Tune. Which as I write this it feels like I am selling it a bit short, I am not.
It is simply a very simple tech house set starter. There are the key elements that make up a tech house record: solid kick, rumble bass, hissing tops, awesome soulful female vocal ( Selena Evangline again,) stabby piano riff, 808 claps, big build up massive drop and easy to mix out of you are a DJ.

Now when you look at it like that why not celebrate simplicity and just make a record that delivers the basics very well.
That is why Little Trip is a paint by numbers tech house record that delivers on the most important fundamentals. It’s not ground breaking or cool and edgy it’s Simple.... a bit like it’s maker :-)

Nomadic Echoes

This track represents all the feelings I experienced living a nomadic lifestyle for years without a chance to return home. It's a journey whether you're driving a bicycle or car somewhere new place or the same old known one. I wanted to give a feeling of pleasure from traveling but at the same time feeling of being completely lost.

Raw Data

Venturing to a distant planet on a mission of exploration, Mr. Spock stumbled upon an enigma that defied his logical framework. Scanning the barren landscape, he detected an intricate web of energy patterns etched into the surface. His curiosity piqued, he followed the signals to an ancient structure emanating an otherworldly energy.

Inside, Spock encountered a luminous orb—the nexus of all life's raw data. As he connected with it, a flood of emotions, memories, and knowledge from myriad civilizations coursed through his mind. The experience was overwhelming yet enlightening, revealing the interconnectedness of existence.

Analyzing the orb's significance, Spock grasped that it transcended conventional understanding. It was a bridge between species, a testament to the unity of all life. The data within held the power to foster empathy and unity, rewriting the very fabric of consciousness.

Departing the planet, Spock carried the orb's memory with him. The encounter had reshaped his perception, illuminating the complex interplay of logic and emotion within existence. The distant planet had unveiled a profound truth—the connectivity of all life across the cosmos.

Returning to his starship, Spock contemplated the orb's wisdom. The experience served as a reminder that beneath the veneer of differences, a shared consciousness bound all beings together. It was a truth that transcended space and time, a testament to the infinite tapestry of existence in which he was now intricately woven.

I wanted to make this track festive and energized and create a more fun mood than a serious one. I was inspired by the club culture in Europe especially the underground techno scene that I am lucky to be a part of as a DJ. I always care about my fans and dedicate this track to everyone dancing hard. Enjoy!

False Pretence

Fierce Grace

False Pretence is the debut single by U.K. Alt-Rock band Fierce Grace.
It’s about singer Lexy Davis’s experiences with a friend who turned out to be a narcissist. Lexy says “Its about growing up and realising that not everyone you think is your friend, is actually your friend. People easily stab you in the back and hurt you.”

Lyrics:

You took my worth and made it worthless
You took my hope and made it hopeless
All because you couldn’t take it
To see me make it

You took my joy and made it joyless
You took my heart and made it heartless
All because you couldn’t shake it
So let me take it

I fell for the false pretence
That you could actually be my friend
That’s when I knew this had to end
I never knew you could be, so damn evil
Once I learned it I walked away

I told you my dreams and you made them yours
I told you my plans and you raced me to them
You always had to be the best

Now here I am writing a song about you
And everything you put me through
Years of absolute hell
But I learnt to shake it
Now it’s my time to make it

That you could actually be my friend
That’s when I knew this had to end
I never knew you could be, so damn evil
Once I learned it I walked away

I fell for the false pretence
That you could actually be my friend
That’s when I knew this had to end
I never knew you could be, so damn evil
Once I learned it I walked away

Claim A Day's Peace

Lyrics:

I'll burn a bridge, to keep your crazy away
Cut the ropes, let the ends get frayed
Twisting down, down, down
To a tale of bygones
Strike a match, light my cares to flames

Let the Sun go Down
Let the Moon come Round
Claim a Day's Peace
Claim a Day's Peace

Broken glass sparkles in the light
Splashing wine runs free not tried
Spilling out, out, out
Toss a towel to late to clean here
Pour the salt, bury my dreams tonight

Let the Sun go Down
Let the Moon come Out
Claim a Day's Peace
Claim a Day's Peace

Oh there's always another show
Somewhere a disco ball is twisting
Glitter light dances through my soul
Spinning round, round, round... So...

Let the Sun go Down
Let the Moon come Out
Claim a Day's Peace
Claim a Day's Peace

Awakening

Awakening is The Band Famous most ambitious project yet, with each track bending different genres. It is the 2nd musical album released by this power couple in rock'n'roll!

Self-produced and Los-Angeles based husband/wife production duo combine soul, hip-hop, rock and roll, EDM, and industrial sounds within the Awakening - EP.

We self-produced our album, and self-produced our music videos for every track off of our EP. We also made a short film, which includes the final music video for "Because" in a Matrix fan film titled "The Matrix: Because".

The song and music video for "Emotional Scatter" - the hit off the EP - was written, produced, and recorded while living in a car during a 2.5 year trial of homelessness, (which is talked about in our interview with Voyage LA) and later mastered and finished when the band opened The Band Famous private venue in Los Angeles.

A note: While the name of the EP is Awakening, the song "Awakening" is not part of this EP, but will be released in a future project.
