In a secluded valley nestled between ancient, towering mountains, lies a village known as Akum The village is renowned for its mystical atmosphere, especially during the moonlit nights when the air seems to shimmer with unseen energies. Thick forests surround the village, their branches intertwined to create a canopy that filters the moonlight into gentle, ethereal beams.

The Web We Weave...

Loki P-A-W.net

“And, what will you do with this track?”
While the bright sun on the flat roof makes it warmer in the studio where the workshop takes place, sweat does not break out just because of the heat. Prying eyes of the workshop leader, one of my musical heroes, force me to give an answer other than “Don't know, just throw it online.” The fact that four pairs of eyes from the other students are still aimed at me does not help either. So bluff mode turns on. “This will be the first track of a four track EP to be released on March 1. That's my birthday, I think it's a nice date.” pops out. Relieved I breathe. So, given a satisfying answer, my moment is over, up to the next student. “Okay, next week you contacted a mastering engineer and set a date on which you deliver your tracks to him. And I want to see evidence. No, I personally call that guy to check if you really did it.”, I suddenly hear the workshop leader say. Now I have to. Crap…
Well, after years of only working with band music, collaborative projects and remixes, it may also be time for a real solo release. So about nine months later there is “ The Web Weave ... ” A four track EP with instrumental, spacey beats.

A track that started with a simple idea: do a normal house track and instead of putting the open hat on an off-beat, put a chord stab there instead. After a long time working on it the track evolved into this tech-house number.

Kinds of Sadness

Noir et Blanc

Following up from her lo-fi orchestral EP 'Falling Asleep' last year, Cloud Tangle's debut album takes you down a gritty, bittersweet rabbit hole of introspective reflection and steers you towards an overarching theme of human sadness. Sonically staying true to Cloud Tangle's essence, the album is awash with dark, silky guitar lines, hauntingly beautiful synths, pulsating unobtrusive drums and delicate, dreamy vocals.

Balancing dark and light in the unique way in which Amber has perfected during the past 6 years as Cloud Tangle, 'Kinds of Sadness' is a gloomy and mesmerising exploration in slowcore pop.

Underpinned by the recently released singles 'Romance Me' and 'Thinking of Myself', the album's concept centres around the varying types of human emotion and sadness. Featuring rich orchestral tracks as well as dark ambient synths and layered guitars. The album will sonically draw back towards first release 'POCKET' with more raw lyricism and lush instrumentation.

Lyrically, Amber serenades us with stories of falling out of love and the hardships of moving on for the sake of your best self. These sombre motifs are carried along by an unassuming drum track and a bass synth line that makes its presence known in a soft but assertive manner.

“My goal with this project is to offer an honest and inspired representation of my deepest thoughts and ideas, in a way that focuses solely on the music itself and the atmosphere I am creating rather than my own identity and physical aesthetic." Amber says. "I want to inspire especially young women to explore a path in music where you can do it yourself and be confident in your skills and approach.”
