Underlying Structure

This one was fun to make. The tracks appear pretty much in the order they were created. Tracks 5 and 6 will each loop seamlessly if set to do so.

I tried some lower BPMs on the first 4 tracks. Bass-heavy with 808 kicks. I really enjoyed making Bumpsnaker as I usually don't deal in breaks.

The back 4 is where it heats up with 909 kicks and driving BPMs. The final track has a cool structure and the lead was recorded live.

AFX 030

Some may still remember the Atari ST, which was our studio sequencer for many years.
However, this album was made with the Atari Falcon 030, the last
computer from Atari. Here, the Falcon does not serve as a sequencer
but is turned into a synthesizer with its own unique
sound character by ACE MIDI, which utilizes the capabilities of the onboard DSP.
No other sound generators were used, only the Atari Falcon 030.

Pit Spector

Pit Spector - Cloche (Remastered) + Tala Remix Pit Spector is a Parisian artist, it was formed with his first Eps on iconic minimalist label such as Minibar. Then he passes thru severals labels with great reputations such as Logistic Records, Circus Company, Hold Youth just to name a few. We are happy to release one of our favorite track from Pit Spector, Cloche (Remastered), it is a beautiful song, hard to catalogue by style, it has breaks, classical componentes and timbres, tons of amazing drums arrangements, it goes from techno to folk we are able to say. A true genius work. Tala remix took his drums and did a remix version with more freedom adding his own character to the song. Monotale Records Cat: MT3

Into the Techno Abyss: Triodo’s Sonic Resurgence

Defmain Music is excited to unveil the latest auditory odyssey from the enigmatic techno artisan, Triodo. With his second release on our label, Triodo delves deeper into the abyss of sound, crafting a sonic landscape that is as dark and obscure as it is invigorating. His unique blend of shadowy rhythms and electrifying beats creates a paradoxical harmony that resonates with the soul of underground techno.

Triodo’s newest EP is an immersive experience that exemplifies Triodo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what techno can be. It’s dark, it’s obscure, but above all, it’s undeniably Triodo—punchy, dynamic, and utterly captivating. Prepare to be transported to the darker side of techno, where every beat is a pulse of energy and every melody, a guiding light in the night.

Quotes

"Surrounded by microscopic techno mutations"
"M offers a multitude of low-flying techno spheres that are frequently obscured by its own translucent exterior shell before revealing intricate acoustic layers" Igloo Mag
igloomag.com/reviews/dr-nojoke-m-clikno

" ‘M‘ reveals four everlasting treasures tucked away in subterranean mines. Spread across four tracks, Dr.Nojoke weaves a solid coil of minimal techno cuts, psyched-out micro house and cavernous dub techno." Inverted Audio
inverted-audio.com/premiere-dr-nojoke-mumucu

Release text

Dr.Nojoke's EP "M" features four previously unreleased tracks from over 10 years ago, all of which share the initial letter M.
The 29-minute ride takes listeners through a diverse sonic landscape of associations, while maintaining the unmistakable essence of Dr.Nojoke's signature style.

Of particular note is 'Moimon', a blend of shamanic capoeira chants, drones, electro-techno beats and haunting bass that evokes the intensity of a hidden ritual.
"Mustart" boasts a dark rhythmic drive with immersive textures and, like "Moimon", has been tried and tested in countless performances by Dr.Nojoke in clubs around the world.
Miliplex" and "Mumucu" reflect the deeper minimal-micro CLIKNO style synonymous with the Doctor.
Four tantalising treats for a five-star musical feast.

The artwork, an untitled assemblage by Edouard Tandjaoui, known for his visual work on Dr.Nojoke's Berlin Gamelan album, adds a visual dimension to the sonic artistry.
